Grant is a lifelong salt water sportsman and artist. Having grown up on the beaches and bays of Long Island’s coastline in New York, he boated, fished and surfed year round before relocating to South Florida where he attended college. Before and while attending College Grant competed in several worldwide professional surfing competitions.

After his surfing career he became sold on the warm water, tropical breezes and the excitement of a big fishing and boating community in South Florida. He told his parents to give away all his winter coats and clothes and began his professional career in West Palm Beach, Florida and then onto law school.

Grant is now a practicing attorney in West Palm Beach. When Grant is not in court he is either offshore or on the beach with a fly rod or cruising with his wife, Nicole on their 31’ fully outfitted center console named “M’Ocean Grant’d”.

Grant personally ties all of the flies we sell, builds all of the fishing rods we use and takes the majority of the pictures you will see here.

Aside from being an all around salt water sportsman Grant is also an artist and began oil painting at a very early age and does from time to time give painting lessons; however he focuses on bringing some of his travels and photos to life through his art work. All of the paintings and photos you see on this site are for sale. Just email us and Grant will send you the details.

Grant also writes for Fly Life Magazine. He mainly writes the offshore columns since that is where he spends the majority of his time. Grant will literally take anybody fishing! But don’t be surprised if you decide to fish with him, you may end up in one of his articles or have your picture taken for the magazine. You can contact Grant though the email links anywhere on this site. Just name the title of your email “I want to fish with Grant.”

Most recently Canyon Reels, Deep Ocean Apparel, American Tackle Co., Yo-Zuri, Fishpond USA, and Go Pro have endorsed Grant and the fishing team. We are very proud and grateful for our sponsors!

Grant is always available for questions, seminars, fly-tying demonstrations and casting lessons through his email.
